Harold is one of the main characters featured in Bunnicula.
Harold appears to be a short-haired, brown mutt and has a blue collar, a big nose and big ears.
Harold is a typical loyal dog and loves his brothers, Chester and Bunnicula, and their owner, Mina, but isn't the sharpest tool in the shed. However, Harold can be smart when the plot calls for it and is quite insightful when there is something suspicious going on. He also loves having fun with Bunnicula and goes along with his mischief.
Harold is deeply devoted and loyal to Mina. He will always protect her when she is in danger and loves cuddling up with her when they go to bed.
Harold frequently annoys Chester with his stupidity and the fact that he and Bunnicula are best friends. However, the two do have a brotherly relationship and always look out for each other when they're in danger.
Out of all of his brothers, Harold gets along with Bunnicula the most. Since Bunnicula can't talk, Harold usually has to translate for him. Harold lives for Bunnicula's supernatural adventures and mischief, because they always lead to something exciting.
Harold fell head over heels for Fluffy, not knowing that she was trying to kill Bunnicula. Luckily, Harold's kindness and Bunnicula's bravery helped Fluffy realize that not all vampires are bad.

- In the books, Harold was a ponderous, thoughtful character, forced to put up with the eccentricities of Chester and the new rabbit. His appearance in the book is also remarkably different, resembling an Old English Sheepdog, though he claims to have Russian Wolf Hound in him as well.
